What do I need to do to set up a MySubaru account?

All you need to set up your MySubaru account is an active email account, your Subaru's Vehicle Identification (VIN), and your emergency contact information. This contact information will be used by the Automatic Collision Notification feature (active STARLINK Safety & Security subscription required) in case of an emergency.

Your Subaru's VIN can be found on your vehicle registration or located on the driver's side dashboard and the plate on the driver's side door frame."

Do I need a STARLINK subscription to use MySubaru?

All Subaru owners can use the MySubaru app to access helpful features like tracking your service history, accessing owner's manuals and how-to videos, scheduling service, and locating your nearest Subaru Certified Service Center.

Advanced features including remote start, remote lock/unlock, vehicle locator, real-time vehicle health notifications, and 24-hour roadside assistance require a Subaru STARLINK subscription and/or an Added Security Gold Plus plan.

Other STARLINK features, such as multimedia and cloud-based applications like iHeartRadio, Yelp, and Magellan NAVI must be accessed through the STARLINK mobile app.

I was registered for an account at a Subaru retailer and can't find my temporary password. What should I do?

Click on the Forgot Something? link located under the sign-in field at the top of this page. Enter the email address used to create your account. A reset access code that allows you to create a new password will be sent to your email.

If you are unable to access the email account that was used to set up your account, contact Subaru Customer Support.

What is an authorized user and how do I add one?

An authorized user is someone (like a partner or child of driving age) you add to your MySubaru Account to give them access to remote services, vehicle health reports, and more. The authorized user will have their own MySubaru log-in and be able to set their own preferences for receiving notifications from STARLINK®. You can set up different levels of access for your authorized users so they can control different STARLINK® features.

To add an authorized user on your desktop or laptop computer, select the My Profile menu and then Security Settings. Within the Security Settings section, select Authorized Users and then select Add Authorized User to enter their details. If the authorized user does not have a MySubaru account, they will receive an email with details on how to finish their account setup. If they already have an existing MySubaru account, the vehicle they are authorized to access will be added to their existing account.

If you are using a smartphone or similar touch device, tap My Profile in the main menu and then Security Settings. Select the My Profile menu and then Security Settings. Within the Security Settings menu, tap Authorized Users and then select Add Authorized User to enter details of the authorized user.

How do I switch between vehicles in an account?

At the top of the screen is a dark blue navigation bar that shows your vehicle's nickname, VIN or year/model/trim. Click on the arrow next to the vehicle nickname to see a list of other vehicles on the account. Click on another vehicle to switch the MySubaru account to that vehicle's information.

How do I add another vehicle on my account?

Click on "Profile" in the menu navigation and then select "My Vehicles. "Click on the blue button for "Add a Vehicle." Enter the VIN and create a nickname for the new vehicle.

Can I start my vehicle from the MySubaru app?

The MySubaru app supports remote start for all compatible Subaru vehicles with a STARLINK Security Plus subscription.

Can I use the MySubaru app on my smartwatch or a voice-enabled device?

No, not at this time.

How do I add my Solterra VIN to my MySubaru account?
